Arguably one of the best sunset I had the pleasure of watching.
This is one of the numerous structures outside the main temple of Angkor. I wasn’t able to find out its function or purpose owing to the fact that I had no tour guide to explain the essence of its existence. So, curious! It is however, a sight to behold.
It is almost that time of the year! Say hello! Spread love! See beauty in everything! Hopefully not just only during Yuletide season but all year ’round.
Placed at both ends of the middle causeway of Angkor Wat’s main tower are these two structures known as the Library of the King and the Queen.
The Five Towers of Angkor Wat are only visible in certain angles. To see the full glory of this architectural cum religious masterpiece, descend from the steps of the right side terrace before the causeway, walk along the moat until you find the perfect spot.
It may be an ordinary day for these two Vietnamese vendors, but it is not for me. It’s not everyday I am in Ho Chi Minh. It’s not everyday I get to photograph Vietnamese people doing their thing and living their lives. Nope, it is not an ordinary day.
How wonderful it was to witness such sight? The magnificent architecture of Angkor Wat. The wonderful phenomena we call sunrise. People of all ages, races and walks of life gathered together to celebrate nature and man-made marvels.
